ADULT EDUCATION CHANGES LIVES
Act NOW to Save Adult Education

Let’s make sure every adult has the opportunity to learn, grow, and thrive — because when adult education is supported, entire communities benefit. On behalf of adult educators across Texas, thank you for standing with all adult learners.
Dear Adult Education Professionals,

Every day, adult educators across Texas help learners build skills, earn credentials, support their families, and change the trajectory of their lives. Across the state, adult education providers serve thousands of students each year through programs that open doors to opportunity and economic mobility. But now, that vital work is at risk.

Federal funding for adult education is in danger of being eliminated — and we need your voice to protect it.

Margaret Mead once said “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it is the only thing that ever has.” Adult Education Professionals are that group of committed people, helping lift and guide others to career pathways and an improved quality of life.

This isn’t just about programs. It’s about people.

When you advocate, you speak up for:
  • Adults gaining the literacy and math skills they need to succeed in their career or post-secondary endeavors,
  • Workers achieving their high school equivalency(GED) to access better jobs,
  •  Adults earning workforce credentials for sustainable employment,
  • Parents learning English to better support their children’s education

What Needs to Happen:

We need to get as many representatives as possible, especially from across both sides of the aisle,  to sign the adult education funding request letter now circulating in the House of Representatives by May 22.
