 Central Area Representative Candidate

Dr. Glenda Rose

Dr. Glenda Rose is the Adult Education Director at Community Action, Inc. of Central Texas. She began to teach immigrants English as a volunteer in high school and began her career in adult education by teaching ESL as a part-time job in 1987. Dr. Rose earned her doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction with a focus on Foreign Language Education and Applied Linguistics from the University of Texas at Austin in 2008. She enjoys using her decades of experience in adult education to help practitioners improve their practice through the designing and delivery of professional development workshops.  She serves as a subject matter expert, content developer, and researcher on a wide variety of projects on topics such as adult education program management, adult literacy, adult language teaching and learning, digital literacy and resilience, and distance learning.
